Solar Eclipse

Posted on Mar 19, 2015 by Bertie's Blankets

This week we have been rather spoilt with some rather spectacular shows from the skies above. A few days ago the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) were visible from most parts of the UK (cloud permitting) and tomorrow Friday 20th March there will be a solar eclipse. The eclipse starts from around 8.30am and finishes around 10.30am. An easy and safe way to view the eclipse is to fill a bucket, tub of water and watch the reflection on the water, a puddle would even do! A great site to visit to get Aurora alerts is: http://aurorawatch.lancs.ac.uk/alerts
